Everyone Is John is a fun, free, and simple TTRPG that allows for faster beer-and-pretzel roleplay experiences. For the GM, Everyone Is John is the ultimate flex for improving your improvisational skills. I highly recommend using this game as a tool for new and aspiring GMs/DMs to test their mettle.
The players play as different "voices" that vie for control of John. The key foundation to a fun and engaging session is for a fun and unique "voice". Below are some ideas for "voice" characters, use and abuse them as you feel:
THE FROGMAN
Obsession (Level 2): Hop around like a frog trying to get people to kiss him so that he can turn back into a Prince. Eat some flies just for effect.
Skills: Garner Symphony & Frog Tongue
THE CHEF
Obsession (Level 2): Create unique and "masterful" culinary experiences. More than just eating food (a Level 1 obsession), your idea of unique and masterful can be made from anything from trash to exotic meats.
Skills: Cooking & Scrounging
THE STRANDED SEA CAPTAIN
Obsession (Level 2): I MUST RETURN MY "BOAT" TO THE SEA! Boat is variable defined, we are crazy after-all.
Skills: Pilot Craft & Drink Rum
THE ALIEN
Obsession (Level 2): As an alien ambassador, you MUST be taken to one of Earth's "leaders". Leader is variably defined depending on the situation.
Skills: Intimidation & Gather Data
THE CANDIDATE
Obsession (Level 3): Become President (by other means necessary).
Skills: Lying & Freshen Yourself (we have to be TV pretty after all)
